The rows cover four cities, three villages and two townships. Pages exist for the verified places: Youngstown.

Every listing is either one community's program or a county-wide one. A row counts as verified when its confidence is medium or higher. The others stay in the table by name and date because we cannot yet back a supplier, rate or term for them.

Who runs a county-wide program in Mahoning County?

We have no county-level program on record for Mahoning County. The programs in the table belong to the communities named there.

A board of county commissioners can aggregate only the unincorporated area of the county, says Ohio Revised Code 4928.20. It may act jointly with another city, village, township or county. The section does not authorize aggregating loads served by a municipal electric utility or in a nonprofit electric supplier's territory.

Which price to compare applies in Mahoning County?

Price to compare. The utility's default supply rate, the one you pay if you have not chosen a supplier or joined a program.

Ohio Edison is the utility our registry records for the Mahoning County rows.

Ohio Edison's price to compare is 11.07¢ per kWh for October 1 – December 31, 2026, according to PUCO's chart. The next period starts January 1, 2027.

See the Ohio Edison price to compare and its electric rates page, or open PUCO's chart for Ohio Edison. A utility's territory can end inside a county, so your bill has the final word.

Our ZIP list shows 32 ZIP codes in Mahoning County. Postal names such as Beloit, Berlin Center, Damascus, Ellsworth, Greenford and seven more match no row in this county's file, but a postal name is not a city limit, and a missing row does not mean there is no program.

What if you sign with a supplier in Mahoning County?

PUCO's guidance (PUCO) is that a customer who does not opt out and then picks a new supplier stays in the program, and that keeping a supplier you chose means opting out. Before you sign or return a notice in Mahoning County, ask the program and the supplier how your account will be handled. Read any contract for an early termination fee (ETF).

Staying in the program, or on the utility's default, can be the better choice when every fixed offer on PUCO's chart sits above the rate you pay now for the same dates. A supplier's monthly fee or an ETF can erase the gap too.

PUCO's electric Do Not Aggregate list keeps you out of future opt-out programs. PUCO says it will not remove you from an electric program you are already in.
